As technology continues to shape our lives and the world around us, it is no surprise that some of the world’s biggest brands are seeking collaborations with digital companies. These partnerships are pushing the boundaries of what is possible as brands look to bring innovative and unique experiences to their customers.

One recent example of a digital collaboration is Nike’s partnership with Strava, the popular social network for athletes. The two companies have come together to create a platform that allows runners to connect with each other, track their progress, and share their accomplishments. The platform combines Nike’s expertise in the athletic wear industry with Strava’s knowledge of community building and data analysis.

Another example is DRESSX and their partnership with jeans brand American Eagle to launch three limited-edition digital jeans inspired by Earth month. Each pair of jeans will feature a unique water-themed superpower. Similar to DRESSX, American Eagle is committed to sustainability and countering the effects of mass production. Each pair of digital jeans are inspired by the brand’s ‘Real Good’ jeans, which are manufactured in factories that meet expectations for American Eagle’s Water Leadership Program (using sustainably sourced cotton and recycled polyester.

Every pair of Real Good jeans saves up to 7 gallons of water on average, compared to American Eagle’s past denim production. AE’s factories saved 1.8 billion gallons of water in 2020 alone. Learn more about American Eagle’s Real Good initiative here.

These collaborations between big brands and digital companies are exciting for consumers and businesses alike, as they provide new ways to engage with customers. Brand collaborations with digital companies are a reflection of the rapid changes taking place within the larger fashion industry, as well as the increasing importance of technology in our everyday lives. As consumers become more tech-savvy and demand unique experiences, it is likely that we will see many more innovative partnerships like these in the years to come.
